Halkyn Walk

Many thanks to Bernard and Elaine who led a group of members on a 6 mile walk on 'Bank Holiday Saturday' around Halkyn, one of the hottest days of the year.

The views from the Iron Age Fort went on for miles as it was such a clear sky.

Funnily enough, the walk culminated at The Britannia Inn.

Gerry's Magnifique Chilli Night

Red hot tennis, followed by red hot chilli was enjoyed by about 25 members on Wednesday.

It was a great evening, (nothing to do with the copious amounts of red wine consumed).

Good tennis, good food, good company. What more could you want?

The sun shone for the American Tournament  which was followed by a BBQ on 23rd June.

24 people took part - with almost equal numbers of men and ladies.

Partners changed through the afternoon with 4 matches being before tea and 2 after.

The Gentlemans' winner was Pete and the Ladies was won by Annie.

Thanks to Ceri and Chris for organising this splendid event and many thanks to those who provided the delicious cakes, Pat B, Lego, Ceri and Alison.
