Gerry's Magnifique Chilli Night

Red hot tennis, followed by red hot chilli was enjoyed by about 25 members on Wednesday.

It was a great evening, (nothing to do with the copious amounts of red wine consumed).

Good tennis, good food, good company. What more could you want.

The sun shone for the American Tournament  which was followed by a BBQ on 23rd June.

24 people took part - with almost equal numbers of men and ladies.

Partners changed through the afternoon with 4 matches being before tea and 2 after.

The Gentlemans' winner was Pete and the Ladies was won by Annie.

Thanks to Ceri and Chris for organising this splendid event and many thanks to those who provided the delicious cakes, Pat B, Lego, Ceri and Alison.

Pub of the Month - March 2017, The Architect - Report from Viv:

Lots of us met for a meal and then we were joined by others who just came for a pint or two.

We had some lovely nosh and then adjourned to the bar where we put the world to rights over a few beers.

Will be announcing the next venue soon. Come and join us. Viv.

Pub of the month report from Viv:

The pub we selected this time was The Cross Keys and we had a very enjoyable and cosy evening there. It's a lovely old traditional pub with no loud music or televisions blaring so it made it easy for us all to have a good old chin wag and enjoy a couple of pints of their famous beers and ales. A good time was had by all.

A few photos dating from the old clubhouse.
